Art of Communication Festival

Sliding scale tuition: $60-$120  or $30-60 for a half-day. In addition we offer scholarships because we want to make these workshops accessible to all. For scholarships, contact info@nvcsantacruz.org

Join us for a day to explore compassionate communication in the variety of settings: family , friendships, workplace, and the political realm. New Perspectives on Old Conflicts and Wounds ~  Our ‘stories’ based on true experiences can stay embedded in our brains and re-told to ourself and others countless times. We will interrupt and re-work these neural pathways, ‘translate your story’ compassionately in to NVC language, and experience the reduction of your suffering and the stress in your body/mind.
5 Sneaky Ways We Shut Down our Compassion and Vitality – (and the Easy Way to Open Up) ~
 Come discover how these sneaky habits can take over and influence our reality and functioning. With increased awareness of how they operate in our mind/body we can then invite the the easy way to shift into compassion and experience more vitality.

 

 

 

Bar Lowenberg, NVC as Spiritual Practice

NVC as a Spiritual Practice

Bar Lowenberg leads this version of our regular Friday morning group. The group begins with an inspirational reading and meditation, followed by a supportive practice circle.

 

 

Schedule:

9:30: Meet and Greet; Registration, Snacks, and Coffee/Tea

10:00: Opening Circle with Conflict Improv

11:15-12:30  Choice of 3 workshops:

  • Introduction to NVC  with Mary Goyer
  • New Perspectives on Old Conflicts and Wounds, with Jean Morrison
  • Dropping the Defense, with Kristin Masters

12:30 – 1:30: Lunch, Please bring your own or we can tell you about local restaurants

1:45-3:00: Choice of 3 workshops:
