A major turning point in my life was my introduction to Non-violent Communication in 2005. NVC immediately felt right to me and I was hungry to learn more, which eventually lead to my becoming a Certified Trainer in 2011. NVC helped me deal with difficult times in my life and it showed me a way to be more of the person I want to be, both in relation to myself and others in my life.
My life has had many chapters, including a career in corporate finance, non-profit management, and homeschooling my three children. I am currently a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am especially drawn to issues of illness, death, loss, trauma (both incidents and developmental), and personal growth. I feel fortunate to have had such a strong theoretical orientation in NVC when entering the field of therapy because it has given me a framework and foundation as well as practical skills.
While I am not doing much dedicated work teaching NVC right now, I feel it is integrated into everything I am and I do. I wish you all the best on your personal path with NVC.
